Kevin used this with a full film trailer in 2015.3, which had a lot of effects, and it worked on that project. always do this with a copy of your project file made in a save-as mode renamed so you KNOW which file you're working with, and do understand: it may or may not work on any one project.
You then save when done in SpeedGrade, then either simply open that file in PrPro 2017 (which will see it as older and "update" it) or use the same process as below to quickly revert the version number so the file can be opened directly in PrPro 2017. What this process does is change one character of a version number in the PrPro 2017 project file so that SpeedGrade 2015.1 can open the file and work on it. If you have those on a sequence, you need to export out a full media clip of that comp from AfterEffects and replace the comp on the sequence with the new clip. it normally does not work with AfterEffects comps. I've retested and it works on PC with PrPro 2017.
